Sandra Arlene Lefrancois COLLINS served many years on the NKCLL Board of Directors. Sandra passed away March 30, 1956, after a heroic seven year battle with ovarian cancer at age 52 on March 13, 2009. Survived by her devoted husband Jim Collins; Beloved sons Mike and A.J. Collins, Adored daughters Merrie Weeks (Ron), and Annie Collins. Funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 19th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 405 N. 117th St. Seattle 98133. NKCLL is proud to be one of 14 leagues in District 8. Gary Newsome was our District Administrator and a great leader. He made sure all 14 leagues were purring along each season. Gary committed the last 22 years of his life to Little League assuring thousands of children were given the opportunity to play baseball or softball. Unknowingly, we have all benefited from this humble man's efforts, as indicated by the vast number of children playing baseball today on our local fields. He will be missed.
